SCEIC’s primary method to achieve it’s stated Mission Statement is to find, identify and provide business resources to existing businesses and to assist potential new start-up businesses in “finding their way” through the process of start-up. The business resources listed below are just a sample of the wide ranging “tools” available through local, state, and federal governments; through assistance from Foundations and Grant making groups; and, through other businesses. SCEIC is the entry point for businesses to obtain a wide range of business resources.

The City of Chokio can provide financial assistance to businesses in the City of Chokio using its revolving loan fund. The City currently has a loan program for “Gap” financing. SCEIC is the City of Chokio’ Revolving Loan Fund Administrator. SCEIC does not handle any City funds; SCEIC does the adminstrative work (loan application processing, loan review, and recommendations to the Chokio City Council for their action on all loans.
